Attributes of God

This is a series of sermons entitled, "Who is God, what is He like, and what does that mean to me?" My purpose in this series is to draw attention to the awesome nature of our God and to help us understand him better.

The purpose of this review of God's attributes is to remind us of the awesomeness of the God we serve so that we will have the proper view and high reverence for God which is His due. As we study the character and attributes of God I believe we will see and understand the fear and reverence He deserves.

There is a faulty concept or improper view of God which is very prevalent in our churches, not to mention our world, today. I truly believe that there are many Baptists who unintentionally believe things about God's character that are wrong, even evil. If I were Satan the Number One thing I would do is try to convince people there is no God. If I could not convince them there was no God then I would try to distort His image. In this series of sermons I will teach what the Scriptures tell us about who God is. Nothing renews our commitment like the reminder of who God is. May God bring revival and even reformation through this series.
