Missions
Women's Missionary Union
WMU Emphasis 2011 - 2012
Watchword: Matt. 22:37-39 NIV
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself."
Focus: WMU will challenge individuals to live out the unconditional love of Christ by loving God with heart, soul, and mind.
We have five strategic purposes:
1. Pray for and give to missions
2. Do missions
3. Learn about missions
4. Develop spiritually toward a missions lifestyle
5. Participate in the work of the church and denomination.
We seek to accomplish these purposes by leading the entire church in missions involvement as well as different ministries. It is our hope and prayer that many will join in one or more ministries to help meet the needs of other people.
